    Austin Industrial, Inc. is a leading General Contractor who provides construction, maintenance and plant services to a variety of industrial clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Site Manager for Owensboro, KY.

    Reports To: Operations Manager, Maintenance

     

    SUMMARY

    Responsible for administering, directing, and coordinating all maintenance, turnaround, capital, and/or other plant services performed on site by Austin Industrial personnel. Serves as Austin's point of contact on site for the customer's maintenance, capital, turnaround and other department managers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes but may not be limited to the following.

     

    Managing the safety, health and well-being of all assigned employee-owners by assuring compliance with the client’s and Austin safety programs and policies including such things as conduction safety meetings, performing audits, educating on hazards and monitoring mental alertness of employee-owners.

     

    Serves as primary spokesperson for Austin in relations with client/customers.

    Meets regularly with client management to fully understand expectations, goals, priorities, and requirements to identify potential growth opportunities.

     

    Supervises the activities of subordinates to include staff and other supervisors (i.e., General Foremen and Foremen) to ensure that maintenance, capital, etc. performed by Austin employee-owners meets or exceeds the expectations of the client.

    Maintains positive employee relationships. Ensures compliance with all personnel requirements (EEOC, Harassment, ADA, FMLA) and responds to employee-owner concerns that come up in the Open Door Process.

     

    Ensures and maintains compliance with all Austin and/or client policies.

     

    Leads the recruiting and selection process to fill any and all open position associated with the project.

     

    Inspects work in progress to assure quality workmanship and proper utilization of manpower and equipment for maximum level of productivity.

     

    Monitors and maintains compliance with the terms and conditions of contractual agreements between Austin and the client.

     

    Assesses training needs of site personnel and implements a plan to address the needs.

     

    Responsible and accountable for administrative reports of the project (i.e., time keeping, cost reporting, AR/AP, etc.)

     

    Monitors all work activity to assure projects meet established safety, budget, schedule and quality goals.

     

    Develop, implement and maintain the Site Strategic Plan.

     

    Leads continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives in all aspects of services provided.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:

    Four-year college degree preferred but will consider equivalent on the job and related training that combines technical training and/or related functional experience.

    CMRP or PMP certification is a plus.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 10 years’ experience in textiles, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, refinery and/or petrochemical plants with emphasis on maintenance and small capital construction. Significant maintenance experience is required.

    Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a maintenance and small cap construction projects in the textiles, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, refinery and/or petrochemical industry.
