    Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Cybersecurity Manager at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX.  The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for the settings, configuration and maintenance of our LAN/WAN as it relates to Cybersecurity.  This person will takes initiative for all network security in a very hands-on role.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess the risk and identify gaps in information security across Austin enterprise
    • Oversee the control systems that monitor system access security and ensure that appropriate information access levels and security clearances are maintained.
    • Develop and implement enterprise wide security programs.
    • Interact with MSP for triggered alerts and investigations to Detect and Monitor Threats
    • Develop a robust Disaster Recovery Plan and carry out routine drills and exercises of the plan
    • Monitor server operations such as event logs & activities
    • Monitor internal and external policy compliance
    • Analyze and assess vulnerabilities in the infrastructure, investigates available tools and countermeasures to remedy the detected vulnerabilities
    • Analyze and assess damage to the data/infrastructure as a result of security incidents, examine available recovery tools and processes, and recommends solutions
    • Responsible for firewall monitoring/changes, IPS monitoring/changes
    • Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction
    • Evaluate/Implement new technology to improve security posture
    • Ensure cybersecurity stays on the organizational radar/security awareness training
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    3-5 years’ experience in the following:

    • PC/Server/Network environment management experience
    • Knowledge of PC/Server Operating Systems
    • Knowledge of firewall configurations
    • Active Directory maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Understand the importance of data and backups
    • Familiarity with setting NTFS permissions
    • Network troubleshooting (determining bottlenecks and trouble points, understanding design)
    • Windows Troubleshooting (Understanding event logs, able to work with support to correct problems)
    • Implementing encryption such as bitlocker for machines
    • Implementing two factor authentication for various products
    • Familiar with performing penetration tests and remediating problems found
    • Experience with patch management
    • Review security logs
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Strategic and long-term planning ability
    • Articulate IT security and Technical issues to non-technical leadership
    • Develop Cybersecurity policy and administer policy within the organization
    • Incident Management and Oversight
    • Core knowledge of regulations and standards including ISO 27001

     

    Knowledge that would be a plus:

    • Cisco experience
    • Powershell
    • Airwatch
    • Azure
    • Microsoft 365

    Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred but not required.

    This role will travel to job sites are Operations Groups on an as-needed basis
