    Austin Industrial is a leading General Contractor who provides construction, maintenance, turnaround and plant services to a variety of industrial customers.  We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Business Development Manager – Specialty Services to join our Maintenance and Construction Operations group based in La Porte, Texas.


    Job Summary


    Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Business Development, the Sr. Business Development Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new customers and the establishment of productive and profitable relationships with external organizations in the refining and power markets. Key responsibilities of this role include developing market strategy, annual sales plans to meet corporate goals, managing an existing database of customers and sourcing new customers through various methods. Additionally, developing and leading win strategies and providing leadership in the development of proposals.

    • Must have impeccable oral and written communication skills
    • High degree of business acumen and a results focused way of working
    • Computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe products
    • Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and service existing accounts
    • Highly motivated with a strong sense of accountability
    • Capability to follow through and deliver on overlapping requirements



    Abilities Required:

    • Travel required min 60%
    • Ability to facilitate meetings
    • Ability to develop and lead the execution of capture plans
    • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations

    Experience Required: 

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Business Development focused role with an emphasis on scaffold, insulation and paint services to the refining and power markets including maintenance and capital projects.
    • Experience with Salesforce or related Client Relationship Management system preferred.
    • Completing RFIs and RFPs upon customer request.
    • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
