  • Overview

    Austin Industrial is currently seeking a Financial Analyst. The primary function of this position is to provide reports, analysis and participate in special projects as requested by the President and executive staff.

    The position is located at our corporate office in La Porte, TX.  

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies, industries, markets, and competitors.
    • Responsible for utilizing data to determine market and business trends to improve efficiency and business profitability.
    • Create and present concise presentations to the executive staff regarding modeling and research results.
    • Design and implement innovative representations of data in a graphic, user friendly manner. 
    • Prepare KPIs, dashboard and corporate scorecard to highlight performance during reporting period.
    • Develop and maintain complex financial models.
    • Provide business and market intelligence for business development, planning and strategic initiatives for multiple business units.
    • Ensure timely submission of drafts, review and finalization of board reports. 
    • Ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested for President’s report package

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or related business field required. MBA preferred.
    • 2 to 5 years of industry related experience in financial analysis and business modeling.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

    • High aptitude for problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis including extensive Excel skills.
    • Experience in data analytics and dashboard tools.
    • Proven ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.
    • Energy and drive to execute under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent research, critical thinking and analytical skills required.    
    • Superior presentation skills. 
    • Strong communication skills: Written and verbal communication of findings to the executive staff.
