Overview

Austin Industries has an outstanding opportunity for a Benefits and Compensation Data Analyst professional to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX. This role gives you the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative benefit programs and also focus on analyzing compensation data. As a key member of the benefits team, you will partner with senior members of the benefits department to perform a variety of complex support activities in the design, delivery and administration of employee benefit and compensation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with HR management and benefits team on strategy development and execution.
  • Communicates retirement plan information, answers employee questions, and oversees weekly 401(k) processing and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administration. Ensures retirement plans meet ERISA regulations through analysis and audits.
  • Performs analysis on compensation, reports on findings and makes recommendations.
  • Responsible for annual ESOP processing, including but not limited to, eligibility determination, allocation calculation, distribution processing, maintenance of record keeping system.
  • Assist in managing other benefit programs, including:  medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending accounts, COBRA, 401(k) and ESOP programs. 
  • Assist in overseeing vendor performance in relation to established customer service measures and ensuring vendor performance is aligned with company expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) and three to five years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience required
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, and Workers Compensation requirements.
  • PHR and CEBS professional designations preferred.
  • Prior ESOP administration experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge with Microsoft Excel and Access required.
  • Experience working with HRIS applications (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Taleo, Kenexa, etc.) required.
